How do I remove greyed-out business numbers from iMessage contact suggestions?

When I go to start a new iMessage and type in c to reach one of my contacts I’m inundated with a list of greyed out numbers “Calluson..” the numbers are all businesses I’ve had recent contact with. None of them are saved contacts. I’ve already tried deleting the numbers from my call list, and tried turning off synching. It’s driving me nuts.. help!
