Pretty familiar with how to run Excel. Both Macs connect to a Caldigit TS4 hub connected to a 40” monitor, apple KB with 10 Key, trackpad, various ssd storage devices, etc. Just wanted to get a feel for the processing power of each M4 in the wild, primarily in large (200,000 lines or more) data sets. Thanks for responding.

Note that you can't get Mac minis with the M4 Max chip. So your MacBook Pro has a higher-end chip (M4 Max) than your Mac mini (M4 Pro) does.

I doubt if Excel would benefit much from the stronger GPU on the Max chip, or from the slightly larger number of CPU cores that the Max chip might have. If you were running a high-end 3D game or a flight simulator, then you might find that the M4 Max MBP had an advantage.
