Apple TV+ is unusable due to buffering issues

Attempting to watch anything on Apple TV + is an exercise in frustration.

WHEN a show will load, the picture quality is noticeably poor. It is rare to go longer than 10 minutes without the feed stopping to buffer. But lots of times I try to start watching something and the buffering begins right away, lasting so long that I decide to do something else.

This happens on both of my Apple TV 4Ks, and on my Mac mini with an M4 chip, and on my iPhone 12.

Every other streaming app works perfectly- YouTube, Hulu, Max, Tubi, whatever.

My devices and apps are fully up to date. I have 1 Gb internet service and no issues on that front.

Sorry this will not help but I did not notice it was just Apple TV until my brother mentioned his was doing it. I do not watch it often, but after he mentioned it, I remember trying to watch things on it and when this happened just moved on.

sorry but that means two more having this problem plus the me too’s.

Add another one to the list. Every other streaming service works great on my Apple TV 4K except Apple Original content. Pretty **** frustrating.

Update from me- the OP.

I ended up restarting the wireless access point that my AppleTV connects to (you can keep your ethernet suggestions to yourself) and this issue has been resolved for a week.
