macOS Sonoma Music app constantly freezes

I have a MacBook Air 2019 Intel model currently running macOS Sonoma 14.7.3. The Music app constantly freezes and crashes. I have tried the following:

• deleted ~/Music/Music and creating new library
• trashed the .plist files associated with Music
• reinstalling macOS as a new copy with nothing pulled over

It seems to happen when playing music files (both local and Apple Music) and using the Browse area or Search. It's like it can't handle multiple tasks within the app.

FWIW, I've had this issue since Sonoma was first released.
