Why do some Instagram posts appear brighter on my iPhone?

Lately, I’ve noticed that when I scroll through Instagram, certain videos and posts appear a lot brighter than normal. It’s not my overall screen brightness, since everything else looks fine, and it only happens with some content. I’ve checked my display settings, but nothing seems off.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a setting I might have missed, or could it be an IG issue? Any advice would be appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

No, it’s in your Instagram settings. Please follow this path,

iphone > Instagram > Your account (icon in lower left corner of screen) > 3 horizontal lines in upper right corner > scroll down > Media Quality > Disable display of HDR material > disable, if it is off, momentarily turn on and then off again.

Screen brightness will remain constant, but some (many?) images may appear too dark.
