How to address a potential iPhone hack after clicking an image on Pinterest?

I clicked an image on Pinterest and got a message that my phone was hacked.


what do I do?

You got a scam message, prepared for you by criminals.


They are trying to frighten you into believing that your phone is "hacked", so that you will

  • Buy an useless "security" app that does nothing to solve the alleged "problem", and/or
  • Contact the helpful "tech support" people for "help"


If you contact them, you will be contacting criminals, and the only "help" you will receive is help in ripping you off!


Do not click any links in the message, do not call any number in the message, do not install any app recommended by the message, and do not give the criminals any information.
