Battery not Charging due to iOS update

I use an XSMAX and I updated my iOS to 18.3 last week Wednesday (5th of January). I noticed immediately after the update, my phone started lagging and the battery refused to charge. It took over an hour to get it to gain additional 1%. Hard charging. The issue kept occurring and I decided to change my battery on Friday (7th of January), thinking the battery was faulty. I changed the battery and it started charging properly.

Yesterday, I got a notification for a new update 18.3.1 which is said to help fix bugs. I thought to update it again to fix the lagging issue my phone was having after the first update. Updated to 18.3.1 last night and now, I am facing the same issue again. My phone has refused to charge.

I have reset my settings yet, it isn’t responding. Still refusing to charge. I changed my charger as well, yet, it’s still bad.

What is wrong? Why is the updates causing my phone to have charging issues?
