Go to Settings/Battery/Battery Health. What does it say? What is the Maximum Capacity?

After 6 years it most certainly needs a new battery.

With 2 billion iPhones in use, no matter what problem you have a lot of people will have it. That is not useful information. 99% of the time this specific problem is a failing battery.

It is NOT related to the SIM card. SIM cards use no energy; their only purpose is to connect your phone’s IMEI with your phone number in your carrier’s network. Somethings amazing nonsense is posted in forums.
