Alphabetize (Arranged in Alphabetical Order) in Apple's "Pages"

The usual recommendation over the last several years for sorting columns of text in Pages for Mac — whether ascending or descending, is to install the free WordService collection of services from the Mac App Store. The individual services are installed when one installs the package from the Mac App Store and then one only needs to activate the following in System Preferences/Settings > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts… > Services > Text panel.

Once you have done that, you can select a non-table column of text in Pages and using either the keyboard shortcut or accessing these items from the Services menu, sort your text in an instant. No fooling around with tables in Pages or Excel and copy/pasting. That is unproductive.

I also have a List Processing Shortcut that I wrote that gives one a choice of sorting ascending, descending, or simply reversing the selected list of words in Pages. By clicking that link, you can install that Shortcut on Sequoia, Sonoma, and Ventura. It might work on Monterey, but I cannot remember if it did or not. You can even place that Shortcut in the Finder menu extras bar for easier access than from the Services menu.
