somtimes my camera goes black and dosnt work . For about 8 months my face id has not worked at all but i have dropped or changed anything about my phone it happened randomly

Does you iPhones selfie (front facing camera) work? Face ID uses the TrueDepth camera. Tell different cameras. So, neither camera works, correct? Is your screen cracked?
What model iPhone and is it updated to latest version, iOS 18.3?
my iphone model is 12 ios 18.y camera is not smashed and nothing happened to make it stop it randomly just stopped . No the fromt facing camera works somtimes then dosnt work somtimes it randomly goes black and then randomly works . The face id camera never works at all .
Yes face time dosnt work at all just like face id then snap chat tiktok works on and off like i say same with apple camera i will update my phone but doubt anything will change as i have had this problem since june .
If Face ID isn't working for you, there is most likely something wrong with your TrueDepth camera. First, look at these two articles for help. If that doesn't fix the issue, then make an appointment at the Genius Bar to have your camera issue diagnosed.

When it’s not working, are you using it in third party apps like Snapchat, TikTok etc.? If you launch the Apple Camera app does it work?
