Hallmark Studio Greeting Card program not working on my iMac after updating to Sequoia 15.3

Will someone who thinks the new hallmark card studio for Mac is better than the old one that no longer works on sequoia must never try to custom tailor their cards. I used the old one for years and made all my cards that everyone loved. I bought the new one that just came out in October. Yes, the cards download, but you cannot write your own text on them. The text spreads out past the borders of the text box, then disappears. Plus the program keeps quitting on me. I have reported it to Apple several times, but it is too flawed to put up with it. I called tech support about the text problem and was told they are aware of it and are working on it. That was two months ago. Meantime I am getting numerous emails every day trying to sell this program. How can they keep marketing a program that doesn’t work!!!

I just downloaded the "new" version and I am not liking it! I am finding it difficult to work with....the envelopes print with a red border! I see no where to control this.... If there isn't an Update for this soon I am going to ask for refund. I always order the disc just in the event I have to reload it.... Really disappointed as I have used Hallmark for quite some time now (since I changed to a Mac from Windows (which I still have but really don't use anymore)). I make all my cards (and my adult kids cards also) - Christmas is coming and I am going to have to work with the V22 program which WILL work but only if I choose an existing card and then modify it - can't create NEW card. Not happy....

Previous owners of V22 should get a free one time upgrade to V23 or whatever they are calling it. Got mine today.

Also upgraded the OS to Tahoe and the V22 works just fine with it.

Time to give up on Hallmark. They obviously have no interest in Mac users. Third rate Windows port outfit with incompetence abounding.

I'm in the same boat. Used Hallmark app weekly for various items. I have Swift 5 and haven't been crazy about it. I guess I need to try again with it before I look for another app. I too have used the work since upgrading to Sequoia.

This thread just breaks my heart.... have used this app (for YEARS through it's many versions) and love it.... have 2 cards I need to print for tomorrow morning and just discovered it no longer is compatible with my Mac (which I just updated to Sequoia. Had to give up Print Shop , PrintMaster, and all the others as they didn't stay compatible. If anyone finds a viable option - please share!! Thanks

I have some Christmas Cards from years past saved on my Mac Sequoia 15 and many envelopes that were also created using Hallmark Card Studio on a windows pc. I have discovered that I can open them and create new cards by altering the text and replacing the images with new ones!

Trying very hard to find a replacement for Hallmark. Just spent $49.99 for The Print Shop. Big mistake. Looking for the correct words to describe it but the most polite word that comes to mind is terrible. Hope I can get a refund but if not I learned the hard way about an inferior product.

Yeah, the Broderbund version is a nasty Windows port that doesn’t even look like a Mac program. I got bit too. Botton line? These outfits don’t consider macOS a major part of their business and support it only as an afterthought.

I took you advice and it work but I did notice that if you try to change the graphic on the front the program closes. I also wrot to hallmark and requested they fix the issue or at the minimum stop advertising that it works with MAC.

I'm just getting back on this. I had purchased Hallmark for Mac like you and it stopped working with Mac 15. They can't sell a software that is said to be compatible with Mac when it is not. I will reach back out to them.

Oh yes they can as long as they specify which versions of macOS it IS compatible with. They are not required to make their product compatible with macOS 15.5 especially if they intend to abandon the Mac platform. And why would they abandon the Mac platform? Lack of sales, increased development costs to keep it up to date with MacOS, etc. If sales to Mac owners are trivial compared to sales to Windows users they could decide it’s not worth it.

I agree with you. First, I hadn’t seen that their website says they are working on compatibility with the current version. Totally understand that this hasn’t been touched and it’s an afterthought port of a product. I was saying in general you can’t sell a product for Mac that doesn’t work, but now they at least say it’s not compatible. When I first ran into this issue, I believe I didn’t see any compatibility warnings so that’s what ticked me off.

I don’t really care about the sales and what drives it, it’s a simple port that should be fixed as it is sold as “Hallmark for Mac”
