Hallmark Studio Greeting Card program not working on my iMac after updating to Sequoia 15.3

fredfromorange - THANK You! You were reading my mind. I was just thinking that maybe I should look for another option. For the last 18 weeks, I have had to send store-bought cards, and it really saddens me. I thought maybe CANVA, but I am so novice at that. I will look into this option for sure.

I am so "desperate," I thought about absconding with my husband's old PC and buying Hallmark to run just on that. I am going to try Avery first.

I recently received an email response from them which said they were working with developers, but just as they thought it was ready to go with updated Mac OS software, they ran into more issues. They said they were still working on it. Who knows?

In my neck of the woods in the U.S. midwest there are actual Hallmark stores that carry nothing but Hallmark cards and merchandise. Other retailers have entire Hallmark isles. Hallmark is everywhere in my area.

I too am hopeful for an update soon, but my expectation is that it will mirror their iOS app ‘Hallmark Cards Now’ that charges $5 per card and you don’t print them. They allow you to choose them printing and sending or they will email for you for a less undisclosed price using a reward point system.

I’ve not purchased anything from their app, don’t want to reward their new model.

This is the "Top-rated Reply" and I've no doubt it's meritorious.

But the Hallmark software doesn't require surfing for imagery that needs importing or for appropriate text, nor dreaming up any, and the thing is that many of us already have used it and like the convenience it provided in that regard. Often in a hurry to fulfill a time-sensitive mailing, with no room to get to a store, in many of our busy lives convenience then becomes hugely important.

And still, here we wait, many months past when we were told the software was soon coming down the pike. Has anyone consulted the publisher lately, other than We04ndy, who heard the same thing we were told last spring.

Thanks for letting us know that 15.7 does not fix things. As for the releasing a compatible version they have been promising that for months now with no release yet.

Hallmark Card Studio seems to be running fine under macOS 26 Tahoe on my Mac Studio Max. Strange indeed.

I just loaded 15.7 and support Nancy's report that, no, 15.7 is not (yet) supporting Hallmark. I will have to download Tahoe and see if RetiredPapa and lkrupp's results aren't flukes, as I don't know why they'd tell Nancy it was yet to come otherwise.

I am curious that Hallmark has not told Mac users that Hallmark Card Studio for Mac v 22 has worked from beta to the final Tahoe 26. Hallmark has just released v23 for Windows. The post that Hallmark is no longer going to support the Mac maybe true!

I got the same email. It’s real. I did get a code for version 23. I also upgraded to Tahoe and the version that stopped working on Sequoia works with Tahoe. There are a few glitches with version 23 as an FYI.

I tried it by upgrading to the latest Sequoia and it still wouldn’t work. Though I’m not nuts about Tahoe’s user desktop compared to the grand trees greeting us upon each start up, its overall functionality is not intimidating or unfamiliar.

If I were you, I’d just download and install Tahoe. You can leave your troubled Hallmark app in place; it will work out of the gate. Problem solved. And bonus: there may be other new features and tweaks to old ones that you’ll like.

Gosh, that is so nice of you, Hafcanadian - I live under a rock - I didn't know about Tahoe coming out. Looks like it was released on Sept 15, 2025. That is good news to hear that Hallmark Card Studio works with Tahoe26 MacOS. And it is very helpful to hear it still is not working with Sequoia. Thank you for taking the time...

The new V23 is here and free if you're a previous user. The older V22 version now works with the new OS Tahoe. Be careful though, Tahoe is still buggy. I can only see few differences between V22 and V23. I would keep V22.

How is the Hallmark Card Studio working for you? I was very close to downloading it, but after my last experience of having the program for only a year and then the iOS upgrade causing it to bomb. . . . I'm being cautious. My wife LOVES the program and she is anxious to get it back.

mine worked fine on the half-fold I made after the Tahoe download, but like many I’ve not made a quarter fold for many years. I reckon the obvious is to avoid that option in favor of half’s until the fix. But thanks for raising the issue, and I’ll have to check my own software’s handling of quarter-folds, as well as stay tuned here for others’ experience with it.

I have not found any that has the assortment of pre made cards like Hallmark. Looks like we are out of luck.
