Hallmark Studio Greeting Card program not working on my iMac after updating to Sequoia 15.3

When I wrote to them last week asking about this, they told me they have no plans to continue supporting macOS.

I've not yet found any software that replaces the one by Hallmark.

I received an email with a link to buy the new hallmark for Mac for Tahoe 26 for $19. Which I did and it is awesome. It works a bit differently but I am loving it. If you have been using hallmark for Mac maybe when you go to buy it using the same email it will recognize you and give you the discount.

For electronic cards, there is Jacquie Lawson e-Cards .

Someone sent me a card from there … then I decided to try it myself … now my sister is also a subscriber. Access is through a Web browser (desktop) or mobile app, so there are no issues with the service being "PC-only."

You may want to look at online alternatives such as Canva and Adobe Express. Both have free trials and free plans available, with lots of templates and art built in.

You may want to try checking out alternative greeting card software like Canva or Greeting Card Builder, as they are compatible with newer operating systems like Sequoia 15.3.

It sounds like for your case the new Swift Publisher 5 would be the right app to use. Very well done from scratch for the Mac and M1-3. Clean , capable and fast.

I had the same problem so I bought the disk downloaded parallels and installed from the disk running ok now

I wish I had seen this earlier. I contacted Hallmark support and the link they sent me was for a full purchase ($39). I installed the new version and it is slow, clunky, not as easy to customize and very few new images & cards. I'm very disappointed in the new version. There's a 30 day guarantee and I'm thinking of trying to get a refund because it's that disappointing. I did purchase Swift Publisher and I may go back to that.

All of those apps you mention are low margin. Most were targeted at Windows users and were ported to macOS almost as an afterthought. Even when it was working on the Mac the Hallmark Card Studio remained at version 22 for years with no updates or upgrades offered, just recycled templates and images.

Print Shop, on the other hand, does have a macOS capable version BUT MacKiev can’t sell it in the United States because of apparent unspecified legal issues. The app is available for purchase in the U.S. but only by verified educational buyers. So a school district can buy it but not you or me. Weird.

Broderbund has a barely functional, crude Windows port they’re selling (I bought it and regretted it).

split for a couple of bucks and load parralles desktop on your mac then you can use Hallmark Card Studio or any other win program on your mac

I reached out today and heard back from Customer Service for the Hallmark card program on the Mac and its issues with sequoia. Here is the reply:

It has taken longer than expected but the final building of the software has been sent for approval today. Once the approval is given the software will be made available.

I use print master and and find my cards on Pinterest and download the then open PM create from scratch the click on the camera icon on the top of the page it opens the downloads double click on the download you you got from Pinterest and it opens on you created page .

OMG! There’s an update out for v23 with release notes. In v23 there’s now a ‘check for updates’ option under the Help menu. 23.0.0.28 is updated to 23.0.0.29 with bug fixes. Check ‘version history’ for notes about the update.

I may have to reconsider my opinion about the app and its developers.
