iMovie does not transition between photos while making a movie or playing it

iMovie does not transition between photos when making a movie or playing it. It will just sit on one photo playing the music but will not show the next photo. Every photo has a transition and I have changed them to different transitions but still just one photo. I can move the slider with my finger and it will go to the next photo, but stays there unless I touch the slider again.

It is the same on my iPhone and iPads.

I am using the latest update 18.2.1

I found a solution and Maybe just maybe this will help at providing a fix for the issue... I added a image that was animated thru Messenger and just adding that image after my title image and the beginning of the iMovie enabled me to continue as normal with transitions working perfectly in iMovie on my iPhone. So my Solution was adding the second image as a animated video clip created by messenger. Yea every one now I make is done that way and it works every time, but if I don't do that it reverts back to not working.

Same Problem, was working Great then boom it’s not, my version iOS is 18.3

so the last three videos same thing look like a software issue.

Do we have a resolve for this?

Really annoying. Spent so much time and recreated the same video 3 times. To now find it is an error on Apple’s part. So fix it Apple!

I have been using imovie for many years, now i can’t. What is the fix? I can’t believe the updates can ruin it without fixing it. I can move manually but that’s not useful, completely unacceptable.
