Logic Pro X 10.7.9 visual glitches and launch issues on Macbook Pro

Hi!

I just started experiencing this issue today.

Out of the blue, my Logic Pro X started to glitch visually while the sound keeps going. The screen only refreshes when I click the scren and only during that instant.

additional to that, my app is not launching correctly anymore. Once I click on it to open it, it bounces a couple of times, and then I see the small grey dot under the icon, but nothing happens. It only succesfully launches a project when I either a. Open a new project from the top bar menu, or b. Open an existing project from my Logic folder in Finder. Nothing else.

I’ve been searching all around and so far I’ve only found a thread from 2013 on Logic Pro Help that was solved by updating their Logic version.

Unfortunately I cannot update since I am working on a 2015 Macbook Pro.

Does anybody have any idea of how to work through this? Thank you so much in advance for any response!
