How to add CD songs to Apple Music

My itunes imported a CD as was talked about in a previous thread, into audiobooks. But now I can't get it into Apple Music. My sidebar doesn't have the options that were listed.

In iTunes you should see the CD that you ripped in the audiobooks section of the library. You should be able to right-click on one of the tracks and use Show in Windows Explorer to reveal the files. These can then be moved or copied into the Automatically Add to Music folder inside your designated media folder, which should add them to Apple Music.

You might prefer to use a third party tool such as https://cdex.mu/ for ripping instead of working with the hobbled version of iTunes that you get when Apple Music is installed.

Or you can revert to iTunes by removing Apple Music, Apple Devices, and Apple TV.

Only 1 of the CDs I ripped with Windows Media Legacy showed up in the iTunes library. I'm afraid to revert back to iTunes since it didn't work very well when I didn't have Apple Music. 50% of the time it would not find my phone when I used my desktop.

I did find another work around (after I ripped the CD. At the top of the sidebar it says "Apple Music" On the 3 dots next to it at the top of sidebar , I chose "Library" - there is no IMPORT choice as many people on this form say there is. Then I chose "Add Folder to Library" and it worked) but it is not recognizing albums, only songs. I have grouped them by compilations, but it is all Christmas music so I'm okay not having albums... I also managed to add the CD clipart through Apple Music!

Thanks for your reply! Deb
