How can I fix genre and year on my Music library files?

You can use the Music app. Right-click the track, choose Get Info, go to the Details tab and type in the info that you want.

Some people used to use the software MusicBrainz Picard for automatic re-tagging. I am not sure whether it is still current but you can investigate.
