I'm unable to sort my Music albums by Year on Apple Music using iPhone
sorting albums in music with new software wont let you sort by year. hoping this will be fixed?

More specifically, the ascend or descend part of sorting has been removed. Apple, please reinstate this crucial function.

I use iOS 18. I do not subscribe to Apple Music. When I go to Music > Albums and tap the three dots in the circle in the upper right, I see these four sorting options.
yep I don't use Apple music either. It's my own music/CD's and they took away sorting by year. I hope they bring it back. new software, so why would they take an option away?
So disappointing. I love just hitting play on a artist and listening in order from oldest to newest. I’ve sent feedback
