Voice recording not playing

I recorded a a couple of memos yesterday. I listened to them all today. Renamed one of them which was like the final recording I needed. Once I renamed, and tried to share it on imessage or whatsapp it didn’t work. I even tried uploading it to files, didn’t work. And the worst part, now I can’t play it! Seems like the play button is stuck or disabled. I can play everything else! I need to submit the recording in an hour!

Ensure the file still has the correct extension (e.g., .m4a for iPhone voice memos). Renaming may have accidentally removed or changed it.

Also, see if the duplicate plays - open the Voice Memos app, select the memo, and try duplicating it.

Alternatively, you can also try exporting via Airdrop or email.

If all else fails, you can try to resart your device or transfer the file to a computer and use a media recovery or repair tool to fix it.
