How can I return lost iPhone back to its owner?

Hello Apple, I want to contact an Apple customer. I found a phone and I want the phone owner’s information to contact him and send him a phone.

Hello,

You can't. There is no good way to determine the owner. You might try asking Siri: "who am i" to get the name.

However, the best approach is to just turn it into the nearest lost-and-found. The owner is probably checking there.

Good luck.

The phone is completely locked with iCloud. I cannot open it. I tried all methods to no avail. I did a phone check. It is a phone from France and I am in another country.

If the phone is Activation Locked, you will not be able to open it.

You don't need to open the phone to do the honest thing, and turn it in to a lost & found department, or to a local police department.

It is unfortunate if the phone is from France, and is now in another country, as that reduces the chances that the phone's owner will be reunited with it. However, all you can do is the honest thing – and hope that the owner is still visiting your country, and will check lost & found departments or the police before returning to France.
