How do I add a streaming track? e.g. youtube

I want to play guitar as 1 track and play over 1 track that is streamed e.g. a youtube backing track. I know how to download a youtube video convert to Mp3 and then add that but that is a saved file. How can I add a streaming track? do I use blackhole or audio midi setup? any advice? Thanks.

inputting chord track from a midi region Has anyone figured out if there is a way to automatically input chord track progressions from a midi region with block chords. I know by setting internal midi in to a track and playing it back with midi in selected on the chord editor you can partially automate this but you have to keep hitting tab to advance to the next chord otherwise it just overwrites the current one. this is both time consuming and prone to error. Ideally (if you are listening, Apple) you could just play the midi region and it would place the chords automatically.

How to extend track in GarageBand Somehow, I got into a view mode where my track always reaches the right edge of the window, and I cannot drag the track out to extend the duration of the loop. How do I get back to where I can scroll right, past the existing music and add things to the end of tracks?

You might also try audio hijack.
