Cannot export 4k from iMovie

Edited a video in iMovie. All footage added is 4K 60fps. The video starts with an image as the first asset but the image is 3840x2160. When I click on share>file the highest resolution option available is 1080. I read that iMovie does not do 60fps but will downsize to 30fps in this case, but I still don't see 4K as an option.

I am running iMovie 10.4.3 on Sonoma 14.7.2. I originally made the video in iMovie 10.3.6, but updated to the latest in an attempt to hopefully resolve this. Please help! Really don't want to settle for 1080, thanks!

Try creating a new project and inserting a known 4K 30 fps video clip (video not a photo) as the first clip inserted into the project. That will set the resolution at 4K 30 fps, and will give you a 4K export option. You can then delete the first clip and insert your other 4K clips.
