Unable to redownload TikTok after ban is lifted

Hi I recently deleted tik tok after the ban and now that the ban is not in effect anymore its not letting me redownload it help!

TikTok is currently unavailable in the US App Store. I understand TikTok is restoring service, but we do not know when it will return for download as we are merely a user to user forum.

TikTok restoring their service has nothing to do with the ban. As seen in the Article posted by Zachyy, it only affected downloading the app and it would not remove it from your device:

If you already have these apps installed on your device, they will remain on your device.


ByteDance shut down their service before the ban went into effect in retaliation and then changed their mind and restarted the service. We will all just have to wait and see what happens next. Read this article for more information that offers some interesting insight to what would happen if Apple and Google allowed the app to be downloaded:

Even if President-elect Trump declines to enforce the ban, the law would still be on the books, and companies like Apple and Google could be penalized down the road for violations.
