Since you haven't provided which version of iOS you're running, could you please let me know if it's a beta version? If so, it's most likely a bug due to instability, in which case you can report the issue to Apple - Bug Reporting - Apple Developer.

If you're not running a beta version of iOS, you should simply try restarting your iPhone if you haven't already, since it may be a small issue with "cache accumulation", which can happen sometimes if your iPhone hasn't been powered off in a while.

However, if the issue continues to persist, don't hesitate to send feedback to Apple - Feedback - iPhone - Apple.

Hope this helps.

We don't know what troubleshooting steps you may have already tried, and don't want to waste your time asking you to do things you may have already done.

If you have not tried a Forced Restart on the phone, that would be a good first step, since it is more complete than a simple normal restart.

Follow the instructions very carefully, as this is a bit tricky. (Hint.....ignore the "slider" when it appears and keep holding the Side button in until the Apple logo appears. This might take another 15-20 seconds.)

Thanks for letting me know. Since you're running a public release of iOS, it's strange that you're encountering a bug like this, but since you mentioned issues with Face ID too, the problem could be a faulty iPhone, especially considering it was purchased only yesterday.

Hopefully this isn't too much of a hassle for you, but have you tried performing a factory reset on the iPhone? This can sometimes fix stubborn and persistent issues. If you're planning on doing this, go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Erase All Content and Settings. If you have enough iCloud storage, it's also best to backup your iPhone data first so you don't lose anything - How to back up your iPhone or iPad with iCloud - Apple Support. You can also use a Mac or PC to do this - Back up your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch in iTunes on PC - Apple Support.

If this doesn't work or you'd rather not reset your iPhone, please let me know.

OK, no worries. If you have iCloud Keychain set up, then your passwords should be saved and should AutoFill when using websites and apps that you have accounts for, but here are some other things you can try:

Firstly, try clearing some of your Safari data, since this can cause a lot of cache accumulation on your iPhone, which can cause bugs. In Settings go to Apps > Safari > Clear History and Website Data. This will delete some cached files on your iPhone, potentially fixing the bug with Face ID and freezing.

If that doesn't work, I would recommend bringing the iPhone back to the Apple Store, since it's unlikely for your iPhone to naturally be experiencing software issues a day after its purchase. Hopefully a more experienced Apple specialist will be able to help you there and potentially replace your iPhone if needed as it will be covered by the included limited warranty.

Have a nice day.
