iPhone 16 Privacy: Security app freezes screen

Privacy & security app will not open and freezes my screen when I try to go into it!!

Have you tried restarting your iPhone?

I understand now. Sorry for my misunderstanding.


Have you installed any apps since the last time you were able to view Privacy & Security settings? Or, as I suggested before, do you have any 3rd party apps that are specifically related to privacy, security, blocking, optimization, scanning, etc. If so, I would recommend Back up iPhone - Apple Support, uninstall the app(s) Remove or delete apps from iPhone - Apple Support, Restart your iPhone - Apple Support, then test again.


Is your iPhone "managed" or does it have any profiles listed in Settings > General > VPN & Device Management? If so, remove the profiles, restart the iPhone, and test again.

Your best bet may be the option to Reset iPhone settings to their defaults - Apple Support. There is an option to: "Reset Location & Privacy: Resets the location services and privacy settings to their defaults"


Make sure to Back up iPhone - Apple Support first. I would use both iCloud and local Mac backups (make sure to check the encrypt backup box for a complete backup).
