Homepods stuck on continous configuring Fixed!
After trying for several hours and various methods using the Home app ( e.g. create new home, reset Homepod and set up Homepod in new home to update and configure etc.)as indicated in prior threads i fixed the dreaded stuck on continuous configuring bug. For me the solution has nothing to do with the Homepod itself or what Home or region it was located in. The issue for me was ensuring the ip addresses were available on the router and mesh network to include the 2 new Homepods. I simply rebooted/restarted both the router and the Google Wifi mesh network (which had 36 devices attached!) to free up the ip addresses for these speakers and ensure that they were in My Home. Then I added the new Homepods per the standard process and they rapidly finished configuring It seems my home WiFi network had not released ip addresses to allow the HomePods to properly update and configure.
