Thunderbolt cable compatibility for Migration Assistant between iMac Mid 2011 and Mac mini M4

I have an iMac Mid 2011 and want to transfer my profile and everything else to a new MacMini M4 I picked up yesterday. I would like to use Migration Assistant but I can't find the proper Thunderbolt Cables/Adapters to fit both devices. Any help would be great.

For your question:

Thunderbolt 1/2 cable (make sure it's TB certified) + Thunderbolt 2 -> adapter.

Since Thunderbolt 1/2 cables are rare to come by, therefore, it's pricey (USD 50 about).

A brand new TB adapter will cost 49 dollars (new).

You will likely use this set up once for the migration purpose at cost of almost 100USD.

Optional (cheaper) and my recommendation:

Use TimeMachine (USB interface) -- you can continue to use this TimeMachine for the new MacMini.

You will need to buy a USB A-> C adapter. However, some of the new portable hard drives come with multiple interface cables.
