Trouble re-installing Logic Pro 9

After my HD on my old Mac Pro had a melt down, I’ve replaced it with a 2013 iMac.

I shop bought Logic 7 and subsequently the Logic Pro 9 upgrade.

Now I can’t install Logic Pro 9 as it’s asking me for the serial for Logic 7. This was an old Xcess key, which I no longer have.

Does anyone have any ideas how I can get around this?

Afterward, it says that it's only eligible for recycling. The serial number is the same everywhere I've looked (packaging, under the Mac, on the Mac, etc.). Am I missing something?
