SOLUTION: Audio Interface device disconnection from MAC after DAW opening
WHAT:
After opening a DAW (Tested with Logic, GarageBand, StudioOne), the device connection is fully interrupted, and device disappears from input list in audio settings. "microphone feature" (orange indicator in taskbar) flicker, and completely disappears, resulting in no signal transfer to the DAW.
WHEN:
- During one of the recording sessions.
- Suddenly
HOW:
- Device connection started interrupting to the point of complete loss of the device from DAW.
HW used:
- MacBook Pro 14-inch, Nov 2023
- Personus AudioBox USB 96 (25th Anniversary edition)
- Original cable delivered with the device
TROUBLESHOOTING PERFORMED:
- Cables checked - Original cable used, other cables tested.
- Other USB ports checked.
- Appropriate driver downloaded and installed (Universal Control v4.5.0.102825 (Mac))
- Logic Pro settings checked according to online forums (this shouldn’t matter as no settings were changed since first use)
- Logic Pro Updated to 11.1.2
- Mac Security settings set to always allow driver to operate + allow device connection.
- MacBook "Disabled Software" checked = no issues.
- Tested using LogicPro 11.1.2 running over ROSETTA

SOLUTION:
After all above points failed, I did come across a reddit thread, called AudioBox USB, where I found following comment:
I dug up my old, cheapest USB-HUB that I used with my older MacBook, connected the interface through it and started up Logic.
IT WORKS.
I hope this saves someone the 3 hours I spent fixing the issue.
