Missing Apple Intelligence Features After macOS Sequoia 15.2 (24C101) Update on MacBook Pro M2 Pro

I’m experiencing an issue with accessing Siri’s intelligent features like the writing tool, image playground, and others on my MacBook Pro M2 Pro. My device details are as follows:

  • Model: MacBook Pro M2 Pro (16-inch)
  • Chip: Apple M2 Pro
  • RAM: 16GB
  • macOS Version: macOS Sequoia 15.2 (24C101)
  • Device Region: Sri Lanka
  • Siri Language & Region: English (UK)

I’ve tried the following troubleshooting steps:

  1. Set the device region to Sri Lanka with Siri set to English (UK).
  2. Changed the device region to UK to test if it would work.

Unfortunately, the Siri Intelligent Features (writing tool, image playground, etc.) are still unavailable on my Mac.

Could this be due to regional restrictions, device settings, or any other known limitations? I’d appreciate any guidance or solutions from the community.

You changed the Siri language, but did you also change the device language to the same language? You have to make sure both are set to the same language. It is not necessary to change your region.

The only other thing which could be an issue for you would be where your Mac was manufactured for? If it was made for the China Market, you won't be able to use Apple Intelligence until it is approved for the China market and it doesn't matter where you are currently.

Thank you so much for your helpful comment! I appreciate the time you took to explain the potential reasons why I might not have access to Apple Intelligence.

I believe you might be right about the issue being related to my Mac’s origin. I purchased the device in China, which could explain why the features aren’t available, regardless of my current location. I wasn’t aware that this could affect access to these features, so your response has been incredibly insightful.

I also reviewed the comment you shared and double-checked my settings to ensure the device language and Siri language are the same. Unfortunately, the issue persists, but your explanation about regional restrictions on devices makes sense.
