I added a contact to my favorites. I have made this contact an emergency contact. The icon is added to his name in my contact list. I moved his name to favorites and the emergency icon disappeared. How can I fix this!

When you add a contact to Favorites on an iPhone, it is essentially a shortcut or a "pointer" to that contact, not a separate or independent copy. If you delete the contact from your main Contacts list, it will also be removed from your Favorites. The Favorites list does not store the contact itself; rather, it links directly to the contact in your Contacts list. So, removing it from the Contacts list will cause it to disappear from the Favorites as well.
