iPhone favorites message instead of mobil… - Apple Community
i followed this post ^ with no luck.
I have a contact in my favorites and when I click their contact, it’s defaulted to text them when everyone else’s contact is prompted to call them.
I’ve tried going to the phone icon and the contacts icon, hitting edit, searching for a way to move their contact from text to call, but I don’t see the option.
could someone assist please?
I had this same problem and found a way to fix this without deleting the contact. Just open the contact in your phone and select “Add to Favorites.” It’ll let you add the same contact again and you’ll be able to choose “Call” instead of “Text”. This will create a duplicate favorite for this contact, so just delete the original from your favorites after.

Since one specific contact is affected, let's work with that one alone. Record any necessary information you have saved for that person, and then delete the contact. Following these steps, create a brand new contact for that person, making sure to add their phone number: Add and use contact information on iPhone - Apple Support Then, if your goal is to add that contact as a favorite, you can follow the steps from that other guide to add it to your list.
