How to factory reset iPhone while locked out

MH3F3LL/A iPhone Xr model A1984. Unknown software

I recently got an iPhone XR that’s been in storage for five years. I don’t know the state of use it’s had but it has a passcode on it that neither I or the previous owner know.

All the solutions I’ve seen are saying to make the phone disabled and click forgot password on the front screen, but attempting to do this, there is no forgot password prompt on the screen

I do not have access to a computer to get into iTunes to factory reset and every time I attempt to unlock and do the other solutions, it locks and disables it

Let us know when you have access to a Mac or PC, because that is what you will need if you want to try to reset the phone. If all else fails, you can take the phone to an Apple Store or authorized Apple service shop to have them reset the phone for you.

Please keep in mind that you will also need to know the Apple ID and Apple ID Password that was used to set up the phone originally......in order to avoid an Activation Lock issue.
