Mac Mini M4 - HDMI unplug and replug to recognize

Hi,

I have a mac Mini M4, running sequoia 15.2. It is connected to two external monitors(Lenovo P27h-20 and Samsung M5) through a HDMI KVM switch. Every time I switch back from windows systems to mac system, it is requiring me to unplug and replug HDMI cable from mac. Any solutions?

In reading other community posts I see this has been reported for years with external adapters. What's the deal? Never had this issue with previous Macs or Windows machines. My machine auto updates with the latest MacOS releases.

HDMI switch for M1 Macbook Pro Hello everyone, As the title suggest I am looking for recommendations on a HDMI switch that is compatible with my Macbook Pro. My monitor: the Samsung Odyssey G5 LC***XEN only has 1 HDMI port. I have a Nintendo Switch and my Macbook that I wish to connect to the display, so I need a (preferably automatic) HDMI switch that is compatible with my Macbook when it is in shellmode. I tried searching the web but did not find any info on the topic. My current HDMI switch does not work with my Macbook. +1, do not use a switch. If you need additional ports then simply purchase a dock that has the ports that you need. I would recommend one of OWC's docks, you can find them at www.macsales.com.

The M4 Mac mini can not properly handshake with monitors thru a switch.

I recommend plugging the monitors directly into the M4 Mac mini and tossing the switch out the window.
