Sleep tracking is gone!

Why on Earth Has Apple Removed iPhone Sleep Tracking in iOS 18?

I honestly cannot believe Apple has removed the iPhone-only sleep tracking feature in iOS 18. Why would they do this? It was such a simple, effective, and incredibly useful tool. I relied on it daily, and now it’s just gone, with no clear explanation.

This was a feature that worked perfectly fine—no need for extra devices, no subscriptions, just seamless tracking built right into the iPhone. It made so much sense for those of us who don’t want to wear an Apple Watch or spend money on another product.

It’s incredibly frustrating to see Apple prioritize pushing hardware like the Watch over maintaining features that improve the core experience for iPhone users. Apple used to be about making life easier, providing value, and putting customers first. What happened to that philosophy?

Does anyone else feel like this is just another sign that Apple is losing touch with its users? Bring back the feature! There was absolutely no reason to remove it.

yes! And I’m mad about it. I never update my phone for reasons like this. I too have relied on this method for years and I refuse to wear a buy and watch on my wrist. I like that I could record my sleep without having my device physically touch me. Heck, I don’t like anything touching me while I’m sleeping. Why does Apple keep complicating things? Makes me think there’s an ulterior agenda than just marketing for people to buy more products.
