How do I set my iPhone 16 Pro Max for astrophotography?

I would like to attach my iPhone 16 pro max to my Celestron 8se telescope. I have a NexYZ DX smartphone adapter. What camera lens do I align with the eyepiece? What camera settings should I use for focusing the image? Any other suggestions would be welcome. Thanks

The best lens will be the 24mm, 1X lens. It’s the bottom most lens. You’ll probably have to get a third party app that allows manual focus and other adjustments the basic Apple Camera app doesn’t offer. You’ll want to be able to set the ISO and shutter speed manually. While this is limited, it will help. You can also experiment with the Camara app and nighttime mode.
