Face ID not working after iOS 18.2 update on iPhone 13 Pro Max

My iPhone 13 ProMax updated to iOS 18.2. Now Face iD no longer works.

To reset Face ID I need to turn off Stolen Device Protection

Guess what I cannot turn off "Stolen Device Protection" because it needs face ID.


Whole thing is very inconvenient, time consuming and very frustrating.


Any help in resolving this issue would be appreciated.

If Face ID isn't working for you, there is most likely something wrong with your TrueDepth camera. First, look at these two articles for help. If that doesn't fix the issue, then make an appointment at the Genius Bar to have your camera issue diagnosed.
