Following an update to iOS 18.4.1 my Face ID has stopped working. When trying to reset it I have to disable Stolen Device Protection which requires Face ID to turn off. How can I resolve this circular constuffulation

Be certain Find My is set up correctly.

Thank you, I have been through this but with Stolen Device Protection enabled you are unable to reset the Face ID as it requires Face ID to turn it off. The message I receive is "face not recognised". This is only since the update. I am also unable to restore the phone for the same reason
