iPad battery dying at random percentages

I’ve had this iPad since 2022 as a birthday present and I’ve used it non stop, earlier this year, on January second, it died at 8 percent which I thought nothing of till it got worse, dying at 14+ battery percentages which has me worried. I can’t use the IPad without it being plugged in constantly and I use it daily, I don’t know if I caused the problem or not, maybe it could be the battery not working, but I’m very confused since I don’t know much about this and it’s never happened to anyone I know, nor to me, and I’m scared that I might need to buy a new Ipad. I’ve tried looking up the cause but I couldn’t find anyone with the same problem. Everytime my IPad dies, it’s sudden, but then it turns back on for a few seconds before turning off again, can someone maybe help me out?

While it is never advisable (at least when possible) to let the level of a Li-Ion battery go below 20%, it could be a hardware (battery? other internal component?) failure but we, just users like you, cannot diagnose that kind of issue remotely.

I suggest that you contact Apple Support directly, using this link:--> Contact Apple for support and service , or make an appointment (*) and have your device inspected at an Apple Store or AASP (Apple Authorized Service Provider) among this list:--> https://locate.apple.com/choose-country-region . After checking it out, they'll give you all the available options (**).

As described, your iPad battery is likely to be reaching the end of its usable life. If the battery has failed or is failing, the iPad may unexpectedly turn-off - or may not successfully boot to a running state even when connected to its Power Adapter.

Are you able to use the iPad while remaining connected to your Power Adapter? If yes, while monitoring the indicated battery state, disconnect the Power Adapter; if the indicated battery state suddenly falls, or the iPad shuts-off, this test demonstrates the iPad battery having reached the end of its usable life:
