How do I fix group removal errors in Passwords app?

I created a shared group in the Passwords app for me and my partner

I invited him

He didn’t have the latest OS version on his phone and didn’t receive the invite

He updated his OS and got the Passwords app

There was no way to resend the invite when I clicked into it

So I removed him from the group, then readded him and sent the invite again

When he accesses the invite it won’t let him add the group in the Passwords app and says “Group not available. You have been removed from this group or the person who created it has deleted it.”

I then created a brand new group and invited him to it and again the same message displays

This appears to be a bug therefore with not being able to have a user previously removed form a group being readded to that same group or invited to a new group

Is there a fix for this please?
