Dust Inside Camera Lenses on iPhone 16 Pro Max

Hello,

I purchased my iPhone 16 Pro Max two months ago, and everything was fine at first. However, I recently noticed dust inside the camera, specifically in the telephoto-periscope lens and the ultra-wide lens.

This is quite frustrating, as the phone is still brand new and comes with advertised dust and water resistance. I expected it to be free from such issues.

What should I do in this situation? Is it something Apple can address under warranty? I’d appreciate any advice or guidance.

Thank you in advance!

Hello and thanks for your reply!

I live in a country with no official Apple Stores, so I reached out to the store where I purchased the phone. They told me I should have checked for cosmetic defects before activation, and now there is nothing they can do. They offered a repair, but I don’t want to send a brand-new phone for repairs, especially considering it has dust and water resistance. What would you advise in this situation?
