How to get rid of the red recording icon on my iPhone?

After disabling dictation in settings I still have voice to text recording happening with every text box in messages , Gmail & it’s doing v my head in 😹

How to stop auto dictation?? My iPhone 14 pro max always automatically records text in any texting apps I use. this only happens in texting apps like WeChat or line or messenger. IT IS NOT THE ACCESSIBILITY OR THE VOICE COMMAND FUNCTION. don’t tell me to turn it off. IT IS OFF. But it still tries to record everything ONLY IN MESSAGING APPS. mom typing here right now and the dictation cue doesn’t pop up. But it ALWAYS automatically pops up in any messaging app.

Is it repeating what you are typing, or typing what you are saying? If the latter you control it with the microphone icon on the keyboard.

If it is repeating what you are typing go to Settings/Accessibility/VoiceOver and turn it off.
