How do I change my Apple I.D. password?

I needed to give my password to an Apple tech and now need to change it. When I attempt to I'm given this message: "Because Stolen Device Protection is turned on, some of your account information can’t be changed on the web. To change your password, use your other Apple devices."

How to Change/update my Password with stolen device protection turned on? I was notified by Apple that my password needed updating because it was 'leaked'. So I proceed to go to appleid.apple.com to change it. Only to be given a window that said this: Because Stolen Device Protection is turned on, some of your account information can’t be changed on the web. To change your password, use your other Apple devices. It also listed other devices to do this on. The problem is that one of the devices it said to do it on was actually the mac mini that I used to begin with. I also tried doing it on my iPhone 15pro (also listed) but it just takes me to the same appleid.apple.com and I have the same problem. I also checked on the settings and I don't have stolen device protection on my iPhone 15pro. Can someone please help me on what I need to do to update this password??? Thanks!

Someone changed my apple password Somebody accessed my phone and changed my Apple ID password last night without my knowledge. How do I change it back?
