iPhone 11 Pro Max screen stops working randomly

I have a iPhone 11 pro MAX, my battery health is at 75% (service).

my issue is that at random times, my screen stops working completely, and only starts working again after locking and then unlocking the phone. Earlier it was enough to do the lock method once, but now it’s even worse and I have to do it several times for the screen to become responsive. If there is a video for example, it will still play, but my touch won’t work. Any ideas on a possible solution? I can’t tell if it’s a battery issue or screen issue (has never been dropped)

What you will want to do is called a “force restart.” Here are the steps to do so:

1. Press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button. (This should be done within 3-5 seconds)

2. Press and hold the side button.

3. When the Apple logo appears, release the side button.

If that doesn’t fix your issue, try going to an authorized Apple Store.

(Also, I suggest possibly getting your phone’s battery replaced, which can be done by authorized retailers)

Even the Apple Store did not know what to do or what was wrong, hence why I turned to the forum to see if anyone else had the same issue and could point me in the right direction. I’ve of course followed all ”normal steps” as you just suggested.

Slightly confusing to me how the battery could affect my touch screen, but I guess that have to be my first action despite me being fine with a degraded battery (I’m not a power user.)

The battery needs replacing. It is well below the replacement threshold of 80%. Make a Genius Bar appointment to have the battery replaced. Genius Bar Reservation and Apple Support Options - Apple
