Subwoofer not connecting on M4 Mac mini after upgrade from M2

Encountered an interesting issue when I upgraded my Mac mini from M2 to M4. I have an old powered Yamaha subwoofer that I use to supplement the speakers on my Studio Display. I had set it up in Audio Midi Setup to route the subwoofer channel to the headphone jack on the M2 and it worked fine. Same setup on the M4 but no signal going to the subwoofer. Also tried connecting the subwoofer jack to a USB-C to 3.5mm jack adapter but no luck. Any ideas why this would be different between the M2 and M4? Thanks!

Well, duh, I did one more thing to troubleshoot this and swapped out the 3.5mm cable connecting my subwoofer. That seems to have solved the problem. Odd, but it works now! So please disregard my post.
