I want to change the default messaging app on iphone (SE2, ios 18.2) to Whatsapp. Settings > Apps > Default Apps > both Email and Messaging. There is no drop down list. No way to change from the default.
I am on 18.2.

So I’m having the same problem and am running iOS 18.2 on an iPhone 12 Mini. When I follow these instructions, I only see iMessage listed. However, there are multiple options for changing the mail app.

Thanks, why? Because it is an SE phone or because 18.2 doesn't support it. There are a number blogs out there that say that it is possible as of 18.2.
