I am unable to add Smart device to Apple HomeKit

I created a new “home” and have two devices to add. One is connected fine (a thermostat) and the other is a door lock. The lock is on my wifi and the lock’s app works fine, but I want to use Siri. The HomeKit code will not scan and after I enter the code manually the device cannot be found. I took out the batteries from the lock and put them back but still nothing.


Any thoughts?

Have you carefully reviewed the lock manufacturer's instructions? Checked their FAQ and troubleshooting forums?
