How do I change my child's Apple Account photo?

My son's apple id photo has a picture of me (parent). I have attempted to change it on his iPhone and on iCloud.com, but it no matter how many times I change it the photo stays as mine (parent). Can you provide help on how to change it?

Hi.

Any resolution with this? I haven't used my Mac Book in 5 years, so that cant be the problem.

I set up my child's account and for some reason his account photo is his father's picture, so not even the person who created the family account. (which is not cool when you share your contact info in middle school ;-) I have tried logging onto to his iCloud and my iCloud with no success.... I can get to the "change your profile pic" but there is no option to put a new picture on. And yes, I did go into screen time and open all the privacy settings to allow editing.

Beyond frustrating. The amount of time I have wasted trying to get this silly watch to do what it is intended to is crazy. The family account idea is clunky and cumbersome. Any help would be much appreciated.

"Can't change Apple ID account photo, keeps reverting to the old one again

I experienced this issue with my MacBook Pro. After wrestling with this for several days, I realized that the photo I was seeing was the one for my Mac User account, not the Apple ID account. When I updated the photo for the Mac User, the problem was resolved."
