Connecting Sonos Sub Mini to HomePod 2 Stereo Pair with AppleTV

I have a pair of HomePods working as a stereo pair connected to my AppleTV.

I want to connect a Subwoofer to this setup so that I can add a little more Bass to the Music or the Movies.

I also have a PlayStation 5 connected to the same setup.

I need answers to the following questions.

Can I connect the Sonos Sub Mini to this setup directly or will I need the Belkin SoundForm Connect AirPlay 2 to connect them. (Apple AirPort Express is not an option available to me so please don’t suggest that as an alternative)

Also will the Sonos Sub Mini work without the Sonos Speakers in the system or will I need to use any other Subwoofer with Optical connection. Can anyone suggest such a Subwoofer.
