AppleTV 4k + 2 HomePod v.2

Hello All-

I am very happy that Apple decided to introduce a new version of the HomePod.

As the title says I want to run a stereo pair of the new HomePods with an AppleTV 4k. Is it possible to run this setup “headless”, i.e. without a monitor or television?

From my understanding the ONLY way to get the spatial/ATMOS audio is to connect 2 HomePods with an AppleTV 4k.

The thing is in a couple of rooms in my house I ONLY want music. I have NO desire to have a television in my bedroom for instance but would love to be able to listen to spatial/ATMOS music in there.

Can anyone let me know how I can make this happen?

HomePod speakers are also a versatile stand-alone smart speaker product. They don’t have to be used with Apple TV. You can interact with them for e.g. Apple Music by speaking to Siri on HomePod, or you can send audio from other Apple devices (iPhone, etc.) to the HomePod speakers.

It is advisable to assign a set to one fixed location though. E.g. one set for the TV room, and another set for a different room.
